Second Chance Training Center was developed by Wings of Eagles International, Inc. and
began in 2000. The
initial program was called “Second Chance Temporary Employment” and our mission was to
give employment to
women getting out of prison.
As time passed we recognized the need to give the women
more than just a job.
They needed training.
Most of the women we found had been abused as a child or adult, had no employable skills
and no self-esteem.
We found if they had any skills they had no confidence to use what skills they might possess.
We began to work on a curriculum that would address every area of life that these women
were lacking.
After several years of working as a day program only our breakthrough came when we began
working with the
women 24/7. In January of 2005, we purchased a 5000 sq ft assisted living facility that will
house up to 30 women. This was our key to completely help transform the life of someone who has never known the goodness of God or how to walk it out in daily life.
